Trusted Local Cleaning Pros
Cottleville sits right where the old Boone’s Lick Road crosses Dardenne Creek, and that creek has been flooding this spot for two centuries. Mix in a lot of older homes near Old Town and newer builds on lower ground, and water intrusion here has a way of finding the weak points fast.
Knowing this old ground matters, so ProSteam Carpet Care and Restoration pulls the water, dries down to the framing, and rebuilds in-house for homes built decades apart.

Older houses near Old Town and newer homes in the subdivisions receive the same level of care, with water pumped out, basements and crawl spaces dried, salvageable materials saved, and complete water damage restoration and rebuilding provided where needed. Businesses along Highway N and near St. Charles Community College count on us too, and for those we keep the disruption low so you stay open while we work. One crew covers all of it.
What sets this town apart is its age and its creek. It is one of the oldest in the county, and the historic core along Highway N grew up right at the Dardenne Creek crossing, where travelers once got stranded by high water. Most homes today sit on higher ground, but the low spots near the creek still flood when rain really comes down, and stormwater tied to the creek has pushed sewage back into basements before. The town is also the county’s fastest-growing, so newer subdivisions like Miralago off Mid Rivers Mall Drive sit next to century-old houses. Old homes bring aging plumbing and stone foundations that seep; new ones bring big finished basements that flood in a hurry. The lake at Scott A. Lewis Park is a reminder of how much water moves through this small town.

I have owned two homes in 38 years. I have had numerous contractors and types of repairs through the years. Russell Wide is a true professional and has truly mastered his craft. I could not be happier with the carpet repairs he performed. I finally found someone who truly cares about the quality of their work. I wasn't even sure anyone like him existed anymore. Kudos and 5 stars to Russell and the ProSteam Carpet Team.

Cottleville is small, old, and unusually walkable for St. Charles County. The historic stretch along Highway N and St. Charles Street packs restaurants and taprooms within a few hundred feet of each other, with Dardenne Creek running behind them and St. Charles Community College just up the road. Golf carts count as real transportation here, and more than one business has built a parking lot to prove it.
More than 47,000 square feet of indoor activity sits inside this Mid Rivers Mall Drive building, which opened in 2017. Wall-to-wall trampolines are only the start: the lineup also runs to the Warrior obstacle course, a Sky Rider indoor zipline, bumper cars, climbing walls, dodgeball courts, and a ropes course. Grip socks are required, so factor that into the cost. Weekday visits mean shorter lines than Saturday afternoons, and the park usually does not open until late afternoon Monday through Thursday.
The whiskey bar here occupies the actual house Frank J. Martin once lived in, a 770-square-foot residence preserved when the food truck garden opened in 2022. Around it, 2.74 acres hold rotating food trucks, a live music stage, pickleball courts, and a 26-foot video wall tuned to local sports. Inside the old house sit more than 200 whiskeys and a long wine list. There is a separate lot for golf carts, which is how a good share of Cottleville arrives.
The city calls Legacy Park its most-used park, and the amenity list explains why. Tucked against Dardenne Creek near City Hall, it holds two playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, two Florida sand volleyball courts, a community garden, an old log cabin, and the Rotary Amphitheater. A Liberty Swing lets wheelchair users swing without transferring out. The Don Yarber Bark Park splits small dogs from large, but it closes when the ground turns muddy, so check the weather before loading the dog.
Vaulted ceilings and a stone fireplace set the tone in the bar at Bemo’s, a locally owned spot on Highway N that has been a Cottleville standby for years. The kitchen covers steaks, pasta, sandwiches, and fish tacos, with a kids menu for the family crowd. There are private rooms and a patio, which is why large groups keep landing here after funerals, birthdays, and ball games. Lunch starts at 11 every day. Reserve ahead on Friday and Saturday nights.
